Dizziness can be caused by a number of things, from dehydration to medications to illness. But if you regularly feel dizzy or have other persistent symptoms such as nausea or a pounding heart you should get your balance tested.
How Do I Know If I Have a Balance Disorder? What Are the Symptoms?
Balance disorders can have a number of symptoms including:
- A sensation of floating
- Persistent dizziness
- Panic attacks
- Pounding heartbeat
- Blurred vision
- Difficulty walking

If we determine you have a balance disorder, we will discuss treatment options with you. We may recommend changes in diet, vestibular rehabilitation therapy, exercises to be done at home, or we may refer you to a specialist for treatment.
